( in a way, wukong's approach isn't at all wrong or inadvisable. taking things in stride. taking it as a compliment, despite the malicious undertones. even designating kurenai as being relatively "harmless" wasn't wrong. relatively being the key word.
kurenai isn't half as serious about the statements he makes as much as he conceals that in layers of aggression and belligerence. hence, he takes even wukong's... what he concludes as "dismissive" attitude in good humor. moreover, he actually did mean what he said. as harsh as the framing was.
at the very least, he considered wukong's weapons leagues better than what he was granted. but, he isn't about to admit that. it was easier to cover it up in repulsion and aversion. sort of like wukong's next words. a temporary visit. it's something kurenai himself was unsure of. something he found uncertainty, and from that... irritation in. it's something that calms him more than he'd like to admit. this wasn't an interminable journey. it was.. a temporary one.
